Directorate Changes

J Sainsbury plc ('Sainsbury's') announces today that Matt Brittin, Non-Executive Director and Jean Tomlin, Non-Executive Director, have notified the Board that they will be stepping down next year, with effect from dates to be confirmed.

Matt Brittin has been on the Sainsbury's plc Board for nine years and will be leaving his position in line with good corporate governance. Jean Tomlin has been on the Board for almost seven years and has decided to step down for personal reasons.

Sainsbury's is searching for replacements for both Matt Brittin and Jean Tomlin. Further announcements will be made in due course.
