UTV PLC APPOINTS HELEN KIRKPATRICK TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The board of UTV plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Helen Kirkpatrick as non-executive director.

Helen is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She works in the Corporate Finance division of Invest Northern Ireland and is a non-executive director of Kingspan Group plc.

Helen was formerly a board member of the International Fund for Ireland and a director of the Enterprise Equity Venture Capital Group, which operates in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland (2000 - 2006). She was a non-executive director of NI-CO (Northern Ireland Public Sector Enterprises Ltd), appointed by Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment (DETI) (2001 - 2006) and is the Chairperson of Crumlin Together Limited, a community based economic regeneration company. Helen is also a non-executive director of CAUSE Limited, the carers' organisation for people with serious mental illness.
