Cineworld Group plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Alan Roux, an Executive Director at the Blackstone Group International Limited, as a director of the Company in place of Mr Lawrence Guffey of Blackstone Group International Limited with effect from 23 November 2009. Since 23 September 2008, Alan Roux has acted as Lawrence Guffey's duly appointed alternate director.

The Company would like to thank Lawrence Guffey for his significant support and contribution and it confirms that no disclosure is necessary in respect of Alan Roux as required by Listing Rule 9.6.13
