This equates to a commitment of approximately EUR 315 million. Sampo has also entered into an agreement, whereby it has committed to underwritean additional 13 percent of the rights issue corresponding to EUR 334 million. This commitment will lead to Sampo acquiring additional shares, only if the shares offered in the rights issue are not fully subscribed. The issue of shares not being subscribed by the three largest shareholders is fully underwritten, subject to customary terms and conditions, by J.P. Morgan Securities Ltd. and Merrill Lynch International. Sampo will publish full-year 2008 results and Board's dividend proposal for 2008tomorrow.
