Death of a Director

Altona (AIM: ANR) today announces that the Company's Technical Director, Peter Fagiano, passed away in the early hours of this morning after a long illness. Chris Lambert, the Company's Chief Executive, along with the Company's advisers, has been covering Peter's role since early 2014, and a permanent replacement for Peter will be announced in due course.

Chris Lambert, Altona's Chief Executive commented: "It is with huge regret that I can confirm that Peter Fagiano has finally given up his struggle against a long and painful illness - a struggle he maintained with characteristic courage and fortitude. Peter has been a Director at Altona since March 2010, and has made an enormous contribution to the company since that time. It is a tragedy that he did not live to see the Arckaringa project up and running, and it makes me more determined than ever to bring this project to fruition as a tribute to him.

He will be sorely missed as a colleague and as a friend, and our thoughts are with his family and many friends."
