Board Change at Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc

Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc (the "Company") announces today that Sean Collins, senior independent, non-executive director, has informed the Board of Directors of the Company (the "Board") of his intention to resign from the Board by the end of 2014. The effective date of such resignation has not yet been determined, but Mr. Collins is expected to remain on the Board at least through the announcement of the Company's third quarter results on 30 October 2014. Mr. Collins currently serves on the Nominations Committee and the Remuneration Committee and as Chairman of the Audit Committee.

A search for a new independent director has commenced and updates will be provided in due course.

During his time on the Board, Sean has provided guidance to the independent directors and helped enhance the internal audit function of the Group.
