Award of CBM Block at Mannargudi
Great Eastern Energy Corporation Limited ("Great Eastern"), a company involved in the exploration, development and production of coal bed methane in India, is pleased to announce that yesterday the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG) has announced the award of one CBM block to Great Eastern under the CBM-IV round (http://pib.nic.in/release/release.asp?relid=62794). The said block (Mannargudi) is situated in the state of Tamil Nadu, Southern part of India. The block spreads in an area of 691 Sq. Km and the CBM resource of the block is estimated at 0.98 TCF as per the information from Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH). Further details will be announced in due course.
