Ametek Field Trial Agreement

ITM Power plc, the energy storage and clean fuel company, is pleased to announce its first HFlame® field trial with Ametek Airtechnology Group Ltd. The HFlame® unit will be used for brazing components within aircraft refrigeration systems.

HFlame® is an alkaline electrolyser technology producing a premixed oxy-hydrogen flame. The innovative product provides a safer and more convenient solution than traditional technologies which rely on bottled gases. HFlame® has been designed to replace standard gas and oxy-acetylene systems for a variety of laboratory, small industrial and workshop applications including brazing, soldering, cutting and polishing of metal, plastic, glass and quartz.

The HFlame® unit will be delivered in January 2011 and will be on trial at Ametek's Penge facility.
