ZincOx Resources PLC10 August 2006 ZincOx Resources plc ("ZincOx" or "the Company") Board Changes at ZincOx ZincOx Resources, a world leader in the design of processes to treatunconventional zinc bearing material, is delighted to announce the appointmentof Dr John Thompson as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect. As partof this role, he will be a member of the Remuneration Committee. Dr Thompson (51) is Vice President Technology for Teck Cominco Ltd (Teck Comincoholds a 7.94% interest in ZincOx). Following an undergraduate degree from Oxford University, John Thompson moved toCanada in 1976 where he completed M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees at the University ofToronto. In 1982, he joined the BP Minerals group of companies in Australia,subsequently moving to the UK and United States. In 1991, John became directorof the Mineral Deposit Research Unit at the University of British Columbia,managing and carrying out research supported by over twenty companies. In 1998,he joined Teck Cominco Limited and was involved in exploration and developmentprojects for base and precious metals in over fifteen countries. In 2005, he wasappointed to his current position where he is responsible for the three researchand technology groups: the Product Technology Centre in Toronto, the AppliedResearch and Technology group in Traill, BC, and the CESL facility in Richmond,BC.
