BioProjects International PLC05 September 2005 BIOPROJECTS INTERNATIONAL PLC VIALOGY TRADING UPDATE BioProjects International ("BioProjects") announced today that its majorinvestment, ViaLogy Corp. ("Vialogy"), has entered into a strategiccollaboration agreement to develop and commercialise instruments to detectconcealed improvised explosive devices and other weapons worn by suicide bombersand terrorists. ViaLogy develops and markets active signal processing software solutions basedon a revolutionary signal processing technology, Quantum ResonanceInterferometry ("QRI"). The software detects and discriminates, with highsensitivity and accuracy, data obscured by background noise. The collaboration agreement is between ViaLogy and Arroyo Sciences, a VIASPACEcompany that produces ViaCore, a proprietary sensor fusion engine. The project,code-named Deepscan, aims to produce a smart sensor with real-time threatisolation software. "Deepscan is a direct response to the increased global threat from suicidebombers," said Terry Bond, managing director of BioProjects, who is alsochairman of ViaLogy. "It has tremendous implications for the safety and securityof the public." Another important application of the sensor will be in the detection of pilferedindustrial items and other contraband concealed under a person's clothing. The patented ViaLogy technology has already been validated by global businessesworking in the microarray industry.
