La Parrilla Operations and Development Update
W Resources Plc (AIM: WRES), the tungsten, copper and gold mining, exploration, development and production company with assets in Spain and Portugal, announces an update on La Parrilla operations and development.
Operational improvements have continued at La Parrilla during the month, although production during December has been impacted by heavy rains and colder than anticipated temperatures. The heavy rains briefly restricted access to the tailings areas in early December, however this issue has been resolved and it is now accessible. The unexpected colder temperatures adversely impacted the effectiveness of the floculant used to separate liquids and solids in the pre-concentration plant and as a result a new floculant is now being tested in order to quickly resolve this issue. As a result, production has been running at approximately 600-700kg per day, but we envisage production to return to target production of 1,000kg per day early in the New Year.
As scheduled, the plant will be shut for maintenance over the Christmas and New Year period. During this period the Company will review strategic operations options, which will include modifications to the plants to introduce mine feed from the adjacent La Parrilla mine at the earliest opportunity. The run of mine ("ROM") feed grade is expected to be two to three times the grade of the current tailings feed from which higher recoveries are expected.

About La Parrilla
The La Parrilla project site is situated in the Extremadura region of southwest Spain, in the Provinces of Caceres-Badajoz, approximately 310 km southwest of Madrid. The site is accessed directly from the highway along a 3 km asphalt road and is serviced by electricity and water. The project comprises a tungsten mine and a tungsten tailings project. The mine resource estimated by Golder in June 2013 is 46.92 million tonnes at 0.09% WO3, making it one of the largest tungsten deposits in the western world.
