AGM Statement

The Lord Browne of Madingley, the Chairman of Windward Ltd., a leader in maritime predictive intelligence, will provide the following trading update in advance of the Annual General Meeting to be held today at 15:00 (BST) at the Windward offices at Mermaid House, 3rd Floor (Southbank Room), 2 Puddle Dock, London EC4V 3DB. "The Board is pleased to report demand for Windward's AI powered predictive intelligence platform has continued into 2023, delivering top line growth which alongside the careful management of costs we expect will reduce the time taken to reach profitability. We have already seen in Q1 the effect of the cost control measures we instigated in late 2022, as communicated to the market.

Windward operates at the nexus of a complex sector, in which the actions of businesses and governments are dictated by factors such as sanctions compliance, supply chains and commercial pressures, and the growing decarbonisation agenda.

These factors are driving demand for our platform, and in a significant milestone for the Company, we now have over 150 customers, from a diverse range of verticals across the Government and Commercial sectors, up from 132 at the beginning of the year.

New contracts won in recent weeks include NW corporation, Scorpio Group, and Nathalin Shipping within the shipping and trading industry, and Transform Technologies DWC LLC, Eldan Cargo, New Wave International Cargo and ISLINE Ltd within the supply chain industry.

Alongside direct sales, the Company has continued its partnerships strategy to widen its market reach. New partners signed in 2023 include Israel Aerospace Industries, EY Israel, Xeneta - a top Norwegian ocean and air freight market analytics platform provider, and Chain.io - a US-based cloud-based integration platform for the supply chain industry.

Our platform continues to push the boundaries of comprehensive data and ground-breaking technology to solve the toughest marine challenges. Customer-led innovation continues at pace. Within our Supply Chain solution we have increased our ETA prediction model accuracy to over 80% and are now able to offer new levels of milestones visibility including transhipments milestones and offering ETA insights on reasons for delay to make sure our customers can take action in real time and manage by exception.

Windward is now a recognised challenger to some of the more traditional data providers to the maritime industry, and we are confident that the Company's approach to the fusion of deep artificial intelligence capabilities with maritime expertise will continue to set Windward apart.

Looking to the rest of the year, I am confident the Company's continued momentum and focused growth strategy leaves it well-placed to capitalise on the growing demand for data driven insights in the maritime industry, and the Board remains confident in a successful year ahead."

Attendance at the AGM

Further to the Notice of Annual General Meeting issued by the Company on 9 April 2023, please note that the meeting will be held in the Southbank room on the 3rd floor of Mermaid House instead of on the 4th floor.

The Company has arranged for a video conference facility to allow shareholders to follow proceedings at the AGM remotely. The video conference facility will be listen only, other than for Directors (if any attend remotely). Shareholders interested in following proceedings at the AGM remotely through this facility are invited to contact the Company by email at legal@wnwd.com by no later than 10:00 a.m. BST today, 09 May 2023, in order to receive personalised conference call details.

As set out in the Company's Notice of AGM, connecting to the AGM via a video conference facility will not amount to attending the AGM and shareholders will not be able to vote via the video conference facility.
