Shareholdings of Directors and PDMRs

Messrs. P C T Warner, P W Collins and M J Stevens, Directors of the Company, received 272 Ordinary shares in the Company on 30 September 2008 at 92p each under the Company's All Employee Share Ownership Plan ("the AESOP"). Messrs. P C T Warner, P W Collins and M J Stevens purchased 136 of their shares as Partnership Shares and 136 shares each were awarded by the Company as Matching shares under the rules of the AESOP. Mr P W Collins also purchased 929 Ordinary shares, Mr M J Stevens also purchased 890 Ordinary shares and Mr P C T Warner also purchased 872 Ordinary shares in the Company on 30 September 2008 at 92p each in respect of Dividend Shares under the AESOP. The shares purchased were purchased on their behalf by Capita IRG Trustees Limited, the Trustee of the AESOP. The Trustee will hold the Shares in Trust, with the Matching shares being held for a minimum period of five years following the date of the purchase and the Dividend Shares being held for a minimum period of three years following the date of the purchase. The shares purchased for each Director represent less than 0.002 per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.

The Directors' total interests under the AESOP are as follows:-

The Directors' other interests in the shares of the Company are unchanged.

Ms S Harries and Messrs R Game, D J Lanchester, M D Ovens, J Peacock, V B Vaghela and S Wigzell, PDMRs of the Company, each received 272 Ordinary shares in the Company on 30 September 2008 at 92p each under the Company's All Employee Share Ownership Plan ("the AESOP"). Ms S Harries and Messrs R Game, D J Lanchester, M D Ovens, J Peacock, V B Vaghela and S Wigzell purchased 136 of their shares as Partnership Shares and 136 shares each were awarded by the Company as Matching shares under the rules of the AESOP. Mr V B Vaghela also purchased 929 Ordinary shares, Mr D J Lanchester also purchased 567 Ordinary shares, Mr J Peacock also purchased 166 Ordinary shares, Ms S Harries also purchased 161 Ordinary shares, Mr M D Ovens also purchased 238 Ordinary shares and Mr R Game also purchased 84 Ordinary shares in the Company on 30 September 2008 at 92p each in respect of Dividend Shares under the AESOP. The shares purchased were purchased on their behalf by Capita IRG Trustees Limited, the Trustee of the AESOP. The Trustee will hold the Shares in Trust, with the Matching shares being held for a minimum period of five years following the date of the purchase and the Dividend Shares being held for a minimum period of three years following the date of the purchase. The shares purchased for each PDMR represent less than 0.002 per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
