Inspired by Petit's book 'To Reach the Clouds', the documentary combines archivematerial with modern day interviews, stills and reconstructions, telling thestory of Petit and his accomplices, and the execution of their intricate plan tobreak into the nearly finished World Trade Centre towers in 1974. Currently inpost-production, the film will premiere in the World Cinema DocumentaryCompetition at the Sundance Film Festival in 2008. Director James Marsh won international acclaim for his first theatricaldocumentary Wisconsin Death Trip which won him his second BAFTA and RTS BestDocumentary prize, as well as appearing at the Telluride, Venice and SanSebastian Film Festivals. His first dramatic feature The King, starring GaelGarcia Bernal and William Hurt, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival 2005.
