Board Changes
The Works Media Group plc, the independent film distributor, announces today that, due to difficult economic conditions and the proposed reduced scale of operations going forward, it will be making a number of redundancies to bring costs into line with current business levels. This includes the roles of Chief Executive Officer and Finance Director, as held by Norman Humphrey, who will be stepping down from the Board and leaving the Company with immediate effect.
The duties of the Chief Executive Officer and Finance Director will be absorbed by the Chairman Costa Theo and other members of the Board and Group staff.
The Board would like to thank Norman for his outstanding contribution to the business over the past 10 years during which time he has overseen the Company's transition towards a multi-revenue stream media business and wish him well in his future endeavours.
