WIZZ AIR CONFIRMS GTF ENGINE REMOVAL PROJECTIONS REMAIN UNCHANGED

Geneva, 15 December 2023: Wizz Air Holdings Plc ("Wizz Air") provides an update in response to a United States Federal Aviation Administration ("FAA") Notice of Proposed Rulemaking ("NPRM") released on December 11, 2023 for an Airworthiness Directive ("AD") related to certain International Aero Engines, LLC ("IAE") Model PW1100G series engines (link: Federal Register: Airworthiness Directives; International Aero Engines, LLC Engines).

The NPRM is consistent with guidance previously received from IAE and therefore, Wizz Air makes no change to its existing capacity assumptions. We reconfirm +20% ASK capacity guidance YoY for H2 F24. Further to the AD Wizz reconfirms that a) there is no increase in the estimated number of grounded Wizz aircraft in F24, b) no change to Wizz's flat YoY ASK capacity estimate in F25, and c) no change to the January 2024 timing for Wizz's grounding program. The inspections and spare part replacements referenced in the NPRM were accounted for in Wizz Air's original planning estimates. Wizz Air will follow the recommendations of the November 3, 2023 service bulletin alert issued by IAE.
