AGM Statement

Walker Greenbank plc (AIM: WGB), the luxury interior furnishings group whose brands include Sanderson, Morris & Co, Harlequin and Zoffany, will hold its Annual General Meeting in London this morning.

Terry Stannard, the Company's Chairman, will make the following comments:

"I am pleased to report that turnover in the first four months of the current financial year is 10% higher than the same period last year.

"Underlying sales of our brands are up 8%, driven by international growth of 13%. All of our brands have performed well, with Morris & Co attracting particular attention in its 150th anniversary year. Successful product launches have included Harlequin's Momentum collection, which utilises our new scatter machine and features exciting new textured effects. The Momentum collection is Harlequin's fastest selling launch in more than 15 years.

"Our manufacturing operations have benefited from a good level of order intake, including third-party orders using the new scatter machine.

"We continue to be encouraged by the robust growth in our emerging international markets, where we have seen sales growth of 23% in Russia, 21% in China and 16% in Sweden in the first four months of the year, and remain confident of the outcome for the full year."
