Board Appointments

London, 25 September 2018 - Wilmcote Holdings plc announces the appointment of John McAdam as an Independent Non-Executive Director effective 1 October 2018.

John McAdam joined ICI in 1997 and was appointed Group Chief Executive in 2003, serving until ICI's takeover by Akzo Nobel in 2008. Prior to joining ICI, John had spent 24 years with Unilever where he held a number of senior management positions. John was Senior Independent Director at J Sainsbury plc from 2005 to 2016, a Non-Executive Director of Sara Lee Corporation in America from 2008 to 2012, a Non-Executive Director of Rolls-Royce plc from 2008 to 2017 and Senior Independent Director for Electra Private Equity plc between 2016 and 2018. John also currently serves as Chairman of United Utilities Group plc, Chairman of Rentokil Initial plc and Senior Independent Director of Cobham plc. John received a BSc honours degree in Chemical Physics at Manchester University and later gained a PhD before becoming a research fellow.

The Company also announces the appointment of James Corsellis as Chairman of the Company. James has served as a Director of the Company since March 2017. His appointment as Chairman formally separates the Chairman's role in leading the Board from the CEO's role in leading the day-to-day operations of the Company.
