Directorate Changes

Obtala Resources Limited (AIM:OBT), the vertically integrated agricultural processing, farming, timber and retail company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Lawrence Milne (aged 53) to the Board in the role of Executive Deputy Chairman and Miles Christian Pelham (aged 37) as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Kevin is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI, has enjoyed a long and distinguished career in Global Financial Services, advising, transforming and leading businesses in both developed and developing economies in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Kevin is a strong, results driven, customer and outcome focussed business builder who has successfully led and transformed businesses through targeted acquisitions, integration, restructuring, often with complex stakeholder management issues. Kevin has extensive experience operating in highly regulated environments and previous roles have included being the Executive Managing Director; International of Thomson/Omgeo, CEO of the Markets Services division of the International Capital Markets Association and more recently a member of the Executive Committee of the London Stock Exchange Group.

Kevin started his career at the London Stock Exchange in various marketing and business development roles. In 2003 he incorporated his own consultancy, advisory and active investment business recently providing senior advisory services to a number of global companies in the area of M&A, corporate restructuring and capital raises. Kevin has held a number of leadership and senior management positions in the financial sector in the UK, Europe, Asia and Australia and has built a wealth of contacts in Global Financial Markets.

Miles Pelham is currently based on Hong Kong and has worked in finance for the past 18 years, during which time he has held senior investment banking positions at some of the worlds' largest financial institutions. His experience ranges from running trading desks to bond and financial instrument management.

Miles being based in Asia provides an opportunity to introduce the Company to a new range of investors as we continue to provide strong leadership and advance our established growth and development plans for the Group."
