Oracle Certifies WANdisco for Big Data

WANdisco's Non-Stop Hadoop for Cloudera Achieves Oracle Big Data Appliance 'Ready' Certification

London, UK - After extensive testing in Oracle's Silicon Valley labs, WANdisco's product, Non-Stop Hadoop for Cloudera, has been certified for distribution on Oracle Big Data Appliance - pre-configured Oracle servers for Hadoop installation and deployment.

By achieving this certification, WANdisco also becomes a Gold level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork. This represents a major move forward in WANdisco's channel distribution strategy, opening up access to Oracle's global enterprise sales force and vast customer base of large corporations.

This new partnership has been given additional momentum by existing Oracle customers in the financial services and automotive manufacturing seeking to use Oracle appliances in conjunction with WANdisco's continuous Hadoop availability software. Customers such as these have concluded that for Big Data to be used for mission-critical applications, it not only has to be easy to deploy, it must also deliver high levels of performance and scalability, as well as continuous availability over a wide area network. Oracle and WANdisco will jointly showcase the combined solution to prospective customers over the coming months.
