Board appointments
Appointment of Karl Monaghan as Non-executive Director and
Erik Miller as Chief Financial Officer and Board Director
WANdisco (LSE: WAND), a leading provider of enterprise-ready, non-stop cloud software solutions, announces the following board appointments.
Karl Upton Monaghan (54) has been appointed to the Board as Non-executive Director of the Company with immediate effect. Mr Monaghan is currently Managing Partner at Ashling Capital LLP, which he founded in December 2002, to provide consultancy services to both quoted and private companies.
Prior to founding Ashling Capital, Mr Monaghan has worked in Corporate Finance for Robert W Baird, Credit Lyonnais Securities, Bank of Ireland, Johnson Fry and BDO Stoy Hayward. Additionally, he trained as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in Dublin and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin.
Mr Monaghan brings a wealth of capital markets and board experience and is currently a Non-executive Director of AIM companies CareTech Holdings plc and Sabien Technology Group plc.
In addition, the Company is pleased to announce that Erik Edwin Miller (56) has rejoined the Company on a full time basis as Chief Financial Officer and reappointed as a Board Director. Mr Miller has held the role of Interim SVP of Finance at WANDisco since 10 October 2016 and will assume his new role with immediate effect.
Mr Miller has held a number of senior financial positions, most recently serving between 2010 and 2016 as Chief Financial Officer of Envivio, Inc., a NASDAQ listed, multinational software-based video processing company. During his tenure, Envivio tripled revenues and successfully listed on NASDAQ in 2012. Envivio was purchased by Ericsson AB in October 2015.
Other notable roles include serving between 2008 and 2010 as Chief Financial Officer of SigNav Pty. Ltd, a multinational developer of GPS-based timing solutions for the telecommunications industry based in Sydney, Australia, and serving between 1994 and 2000 as Chief Financial Officer of Meridian Data, Inc., a developer of network attached storage solutions, a NASDAQ listed company. Mr Miller's international business experience has also brought him to the UK, notably between 2003 and 2005 where he served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at BlueArc Corporation: a multinational developer of enterprise Network Attached Storage systems, based in Bracknell, UK and San Jose, California.
