1 March 2011 - London, UK - Verona Pharma plc (AIM: VRP), wishes to notify the market of the following:-

The Company's issued share capital consists of 239,906,705 ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each ("Ordinary Shares"), all with voting rights. No shares were held in treasury at the date of this announcement. The total number of current voting rights in the Company is therefore 239,906,705.

The above figure (239,906,705 Ordinary Shares) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculation by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change in their interest in, the Company.
