DIRECTORATE CHANGE
The Board of Volex GroupΒ plc announces thatΒ with effect from the 9thΒ MarchΒ 2009Β Heejae ChaeΒ ceasedΒ to be CEO and aΒ Director of the Company.
Volex has appointed Ray Walsh, currentlyΒ Senior Vice President andΒ Head of Operations, Technology, Products, Communications and ResearchΒ for Market Force Information, Denver,Β USA as the Group's new Chief Executive Officer.Β Β Ray will join the Company on 6thΒ AprilΒ 2009.
Ray, currentlyΒ Β manages the operationalΒ execution and supporting technology platforms across all of Market Force Information's business lines.Β Β Prior to thisΒ role, Ray worked for 20 yearsΒ in various senior roles for a number of global companies within the telecoms sector.
Commenting onΒ the changes,Β Mike McTigheΒ said:
"Heejae has been with the Group forΒ fourΒ years,Β joining theΒ Group and theΒ Board as Chief Operating OfficerΒ in June 2005Β before taking up the role of CEO inΒ MayΒ 2006. On behalf of the Board I wish HeejaeΒ wellΒ withΒ his futureΒ endeavours.
