Vernalis plc (LSE: VER) announces it has been informed that, on 18 April 2013, the following directors bought shares in the Company:
·; Ian Garland, Chief Executive Officer, purchased 100,000 Ordinary 1 pence shares at a price of 23.0 pence per share. Following this transaction, Mr Garland will be the beneficial holder of 658,939 Ordinary 1 pence shares, representing 0.149 % of the Company's current issued share capital.
·; David Mackney, Chief Financial Officer, purchased 50,000 Ordinary 1 pence shares at a price of 23.0 pence per share. Following this transaction, Mr Mackney will be the beneficial holder of 319,285 Ordinary 1 pence shares representing 0.072 % of the Company's current issued share capital.
