Victrex appoints Martin Court to the Board

The Board of Victrex plc, an innovative world leader in high performance polymer solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Martin Court as an Executive Director, effective from 1 April 2015.

Martin, who joined Victrex in February 2013, is Managing Director of Invibio, Victrex's medical business. Invibio focuses on solutions for the spinal fusion market, as well as developing solutions for the dental, trauma and knee markets. His appointment further strengthens the Board, with Victrex's other divisional managing director, Tim Cooper, Managing Director of Victrex Polymer Solutions, already an Executive Director.

Martin, aged 53, has a wealth of proven international experience in the medical and high performance polymer industry, including with Cytec Industries, and in a number of senior roles at both ICI and UCB. He is an INSEAD alumni, holds a doctorate in the field of surface chemistry and fracture mechanics and a BSc (Eng) degree in mineral technology from Imperial College of Science and Technology.

Notes:

Upon his appointment to the Board, Martin will receive a basic salary of £257,000. He will also be eligible to participate in the Company's short and long term executive incentive programmes, as outlined in Victrex's Annual Report.
