Annual Trading Update
The Company announces its trading update for the year ended 30 September 2010.
Full year Group sales volume amounted to approximately 2,535 tonnes, an increase of 64% over the previous year (1,547 tonnes) with a half year record of 1,364 tonnes in the second half. Sales volume for October has started strongly, continuing to reinforce the positive underlying trends in the Victrex Polymer Solutions ('VPS') business.
Full year revenue for Invibio®, our biomaterial solutions business, was in line with our expectations at approximately £44.2m, an increase of 29% over the previous year (£34.2m). Underlying Invibio revenue (at constant exchange rates) was up 15% on last year.
Overall, we expect Group profits for 2010 to be in line with market expectations.
Victrex will announce its results for the year ended 30 September 2010 on Tuesday 7 December 2010.
