Tower Resources plc ("Tower"), LN: TRP, the AIM listed company with oil and gas exploration assets offshore Namibia, confirms that, in light of the earlier than anticipated completion of operations on the Mvule-1 exploration well in Uganda Licence EA5, Peter Kingston, Chief Executive, has stepped down from the Board of Directors with immediate effect.

Peter's intention to step down from the Board was previously announced by Tower on 28th November 2011. The Board subsequently initiated a search for a suitable successor and will update the market on this matter in due course.

Tower's Chairman, Jeremy Asher, commented:
"The Board would like to thank Peter for his contribution to the Company. Peter has left Tower in a strong position to pursue its interests offshore Namibia and we would like to wish him all the best in the future."
