Torotrak PLC22 April 2005 Torotrak plcProgress report - off-highway In May 2004 we communicated our strategy to broaden the application of ourInfinitely Variable Transmission (IVT) systems into a more diverse product andcustomer base by targeting the off-highway sector. In November we reported thatwe had met with a positive response from this sector, which is looking for acost effective and efficient variable drive technology that can be used acrosstheir product ranges. Since we last reported to shareholders we have further developed our businessrelationships with the off-highway global vehicle and transmissionmanufacturers. With some, we are at the level of initial enquiry, with others weare at the stage of negotiating the contractual and legal framework to enablethem to exploit our IVT technology. Some of these negotiations may lead to the signing of new licence agreements indue course. We will notify the market when any new licence agreements are signedand provide a general update on progress in this sector with our PreliminaryAnnouncement on 16 May.
