Topps Tiles PLC14 October 2005 TOPPS TILES PLC NOTIFICATION OF SUBSTANTIAL SHAREHOLDING Topps Tiles plc (the "Company") received notification on 14 October 2005 fromFidelity International Limited ("FIL") that as at 13 October 2005 FIL and itsdirect and indirect subsidiaries had a non-beneficial interest in 12,882,114ordinary shares of 2.5p each ("Ordinary Shares"), equivalent to 5.69 per cent.of the Company's then issued share capital. The interest was registered asfollows: Brown Bros Harriman and Co 3,975,000State Street Bank and Tr Co 1,350,000 The notifications by FIL and FMR Corp also comprise a notifiable interest of MrEdward C Johnson 3rd, a principal shareholder of both FIL and FMR Corp.
