Exercise of options
The Company was informed today that Mervyn Keene, a Director of the Company, has exercised 16,000 options under the 1996 Approved Share Option Scheme, at an exercise price of 62.50 pence per ordinary share of 25 pence each ("Ordinary Share") in the Company. The exercise of options will be satisfied by Ordinary Shares held by the Company in treasury.
Following the exercise of these options, Mervyn Keene is beneficially interested in 216,360 Ordinary Shares, representing 4.6 per cent of the Ordinary Shares in issue. In addition, Mr Keene has the following options over Ordinary Shares:
