Thistle Mining Inc.07 February 2007 Thistle Mining Inc Directorate Changes Thistle Mining Inc. (the "Company") (AIM: TMG) is pleased to announce theappointment of Alekseev Sergey Aleksandrovich as a non-executive director of theCompany effective 7th February 2007. Mr. Alekseev (aged 41), started his career as an attache for Economics at theRussian Embassy in the Kingdom of Lesotho, where he gained extensive knowledgeof the South African mining industry. After leaving the Ministry of ForeignAffairs at the Russian Federation, he obtained an MSc Ec. at The London Schoolof Economics and went on to join Coopers & Lybrand in Moscow as a seniormanagement consultant in resources. Mr. Alekseev then worked as Vice-president,Director and Senior Vice-President of ABN AMRO in Moscow for 7 years and wasresponsible for its natural resources practice, which incorporated, majorRussian mining houses such as Norisk Nickle, Alrosa and Polimetal. Prior tobecoming Managing Director in SoyuzNefteGaz Vostok Ltd. (Guernsey), he held theposition of First Vice-President of Rosneft, the oil company, and wasresponsible for finance and new business development. Mr. Alekseev's current and previous directorships are listed below. The Companyconfirms that there are no other matters requiring disclosure in relation toRule 17 and Schedule 2(g) of the AIM Rules. In addition, the Company announces that due to their other business commitments,Messrs Yury Shafranik and Askar Alshinbayev have resigned as a directors of theCompany effective 7th February 2007.
