Appointment of Jonathan Shaw CB CBE MA as International Practice Director, Defence

Digital Barriers plc (AIM: DGB), a specialist provider of advanced surveillance technologies to the homeland security and defence sectors, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Shaw as International Practice Director, Defence.

Jonathan Shaw was a Major General in the UK Ministry of Defence until August of this year, his last position being Assistant Chief of Defence Staff (Global Issues), responsible for cyber policy within the MOD. He has also served as: Assistant Chief of Defence Staff (International Security Policy); General Officer Commanding the British-led Division in Basra, Iraq; and Colonel Commandant of the Parachute Regiment. He also has extensive Special Forces experience.

In addition to providing strategic leadership and senior operational expertise within Digital Barriers' international defence business, Jonathan Shaw will use his extensive experience in the cyber security field to help develop the company's thinking in this area.
