Appointment of Director

The Board of Tethyan Resources plc ("Tethyan" or the "Company") announces that Fabian Baker has been appointed to the board of the Company with immediate effect. 

Fabian Baker has been Chief Operating Officer at Tethyan Resources plc since May 31, 2016. He was instrumental in the Company's entry into Serbia and the Balkan region, playing a key role in the identification of Tethyan's exploration projects and the formation of Tethyan's Serbian subsidiaries and the local team. As such he is responsible for the management of the Company's exploration in Serbia and neighbouring countries. He has experience in grassroots exploration through to completion of Bankable Feasibility in frontier and developing countries. He co-founded Moroccan Minerals Ltd and served as its Director, President and Chief Operating Officer from early 2014. He worked at Lydian International from 2009 to 2013 and was promoted to Chief Geologist at Lydian's Amulsar Gold project located in Armenia. He served as Exploration Manager for Tigris Resources from 2011 to 2012. Fabian holds a BSc in Applied Geology.

Other than that as set out below, there are no other matters that are required to be disclosed under Schedule 2 paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules in relation to the appointment of Fabian Nikolaus Baker, aged 30.

Current and previous directorships:

Fabian Baker is interested in 1,433,784 ordinary shares of the Company representing 0.85 per cent of the Company's issued ordinary share capital. He is also interested in 2,200,000 options over ordinary shares in the Company.
