31 Aug 2006 10:00

Telefonica O2 Czech Republic, A.S.31 August 2006 Press Release Telefonica O2 Czech Republic Introduces Revolutionary New Mobile Tariffs Datum: 31. 8. 2006 On 1st September 2006 Telefonica O2 Czech Republic is introducing a new mobiletariff concept which is revolutionary in the Czech market. The new tariffconcept O2 Simple introduces tariffs that enable customers to pay for theircommunication services based on their expected needs, and get the maximum valuefor their money. Additionally, O2 Simple always contains a free bonus, socustomers get more than they pay for every time. The concept is based on fulfilment of customer desires stated in market researchand is, therefore, quite simple to understand. Customers just select the amountthey feel represents their usage and spend level - CZK 240 or CZK 600 and theamount plus an extra bonus amount is then applied completely to usage of voiceand sms in any combination. Customers no longer have to worry about how many minutes or sms they shouldselect in a tariff package, and how many they use. They get the full maximum ofthe amount they select applied every month to what ever combination of minutesor SMS they naturally use without having to worry or pay for a subscription forminutes or SMS they may not use. O2 Simple - the first tariffs ever to conform to you The principle of O2 Simple is to always provide customers with the maximum valueof calls and SMS from their monthly tariff selection. Customers can initiallyselect either CZK 240 or CZK 600 (excluding 19 % VAT). The selected amount plustariff bonus can be then fully applied to cover calls, video calls and sms.Customers no longer need to decide how they call or how many SMS they send - thefull amount of their subscription together with the tariff bonus will be appliedagainst their usage with any excess amount being charged at simple and highlycompetitive single rates. O2 Simple 240 and O2 Simple 600 are designed to appeal to the widest range ofcustomers and to suitably complement the extensive portfolio of existingtariffs. "O2 Simple tariffs fulfil the number one expectations of customers - to have themaximum value and flexibility possible applied to their communicationsexpenditures in a simple, easy to understand and transparent manner" says AndreiMarc Torriani, Chief Marketing Officer for residential customers of TelefonicaO2, and he adds: "In shorter terms, O2 Simple tariffs now provide theflexibility, transparency and maximum value customers have come to expect." You get more than you pay for - and now even more with the promo bonus With O2 Simple tariffs customers always get more than they pay for - with O2Simple 240 they get tariff bonus 20 CZK per month and with O2 Simple 600 theyget CZK 40 tariff bonus. Customers who activate any of the O2 Simple tariffs until the end of October2006 will receive a special additional promo bonus of CZK 360 or CZK 960. Thepromo bonus will be provided in equal increments over the first 6 months afteractivation with, i.e. during the entire duration of their 6-month commitment. This way customers who select O2 Simple 240 during the promo period will receivethe value of CZK 320 every month to be applied against their voice or SMS usage.Customers opting for O2 Simple 600 will receive CZK 800 to cover their textingor calling every month. Therefore, the difference between the monthly fee theyreally pay for, and the total bonus they receive during the 6-month period, canreach up to CZK 1200.
