Tullett Prebon plc today announces the appointment of Angela Knight and Stephen Pull as independent non-executive directors, with effect from 1 September 2011. It also announces the forthcoming retirements of David Clark and Richard Kilsby.
Angela Knight is the Chief Executive of the British Bankers' Association. She was previously Chief Executive of the Association of Private Client Investment Managers and Stockbrokers from 1997 to 2006, and was Member of Parliament for Erewash from 1992 to 1997, serving as a Treasury Minister from 1995 to 1997. Angela Knight is also a non-executive director of Brewin Dolphin Holdings plc. Her previous non-executive director appointments include Lloyds TSB Plc (2002-2006), Scottish Widows (1997-2006) and LogicaCMG Plc (1999-2008).
Stephen Pull has held a number of senior roles in the City. Most recently he was Chairman of Corporate Broking at Nomura from 2008 to June 2011. He previously worked in corporate broking at Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch.
There are no other disclosures required under rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the Financial Services Authority in connection with the appointments of Angela Knight and Stephen Pull.
David Clark will be retiring from the Board at the Annual General Meeting in May 2012. He has served as a non-executive director of Tullett Prebon plc since December 2006 and Senior Independent Director since June 2007, and previously as a non-executive director of Collins Stewart Tullett plc from March 2003.
Richard Kilsby will be retiring from the Board on 31 December 2011. He has served as a non-executive director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Tullett Prebon plc since December 2006, and previously as a non-executive director of Collins Stewart Tullett plc from June 2005.
Angela Knight will take over as Senior Independent Director after a familiarisation period, replacing David Clark, who will be Chairing the Audit Committee until he retires at the next Annual General Meeting.
