Tanfield Group PLC19 December 2005 Tanfield Group PLC Placing Tanfield Group PLC (the "Company") announces that it has conditionally placed9,100,000 new ordinary shares in the Company of 1p each at a placing price of20p per share raising £1,820,000. It is expected that these shares will beadmitted to trading on AIM on 21 December 2005. The Placing has been effected to satisfy institutional demand for the Company'sshares and to ensure the Company has sufficient working capital to allow it toexplore new business opportunities.
