Executel acquired by TalkTalk Group

Leading regional telephone systems, data solutions and unified communications business to become part of TalkTalk BusinessTalkTalk Telecom Group plc, the leading UK fixed line voice and broadband telecommunications business, announces the acquisition today of the entire issued share capital of Executel Limited ("Executel") for an undisclosed sum. Based in the North-East of England, Executel is a leading provider of telephone systems, data solutions and unified communications to the public and private sectors. The business will now be managed by TalkTalk Business and is expected to contribute around £6.5 million of incremental revenue in the current financial year. Paul Lawton, CEO of TalkTalk Business, says: "Executel is a long term and valued partner of TalkTalk Business. Strategically they fit extremely well with our existing operations and give us a much stronger position in the North East of England. The deal underlines our ambition to grow our data capabilities whilst strengthening our sales and engineering operations."
