SYMPHONY ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGIES PLC

Agreement with Superfos

Symphony Environmental Technologies Plc ("Symphony", "Company" or "the Group"), the environmental plastics and waste-to-energy Group, announces that it has signed a supply agreement, together with its French distributor, Alternative Plastics Sarl ("APS")with the Danish producer of high quality packaging products, Superfos Industries a/s ("Superfos").

The agreement, for a minimum period of 5 years, provides Superfos EU, a subsidiary of Superfos, with European Union exclusivity for the manufacture of a range of  top-filled injection moulded rigid plastic packaging using special grade d2w® additives, supplied by Symphony through APS, and the use of the d2w® trademark on all such packaging.

The product range will include food packaging items such as salad tubs and non food items such as paint pots. These items, which are generally supplied by Superfos to food and non food processors, are sold by retailers throughout the EU

Michael Laurier, CEO of Symphony Environmental Technologies plc, said:

"We are very pleased to be associated with Superfos on its initiatives to improve and launch its top-filled injection moulded rigid packaging products with d2w® controlled life oxo-biodegradable technology. We are excited to be part of this important development whereby Superfos will be the first major European producer to launch and develop a range of products made with d2w®. This is also a major step forward for Symphony and the rigid plastics industry and shows the world, by example, that there are solutions available to improve the environmental aspect of rigid plastic packaging.

We are delighted that Superfos has embraced our d2w® technology and look forward to working together with Superfos in the years ahead."

Hans Pettersson, CEO of Superfos, said:

"In our pursuit of excellence and innovation we continually seek to be market leaders and improve all aspects of our products, people and services and this agreement to launch d2w® in our products forms part of that commitment. We have therefore selected Symphony as our partner in this initiative for the supply of their d2w® controlled-life oxo-biodegradable additive technology for our top-filled injection moulded rigid plastic packaging. We very much look forward to working with the Symphony team in the continued development of this process so as to maximise the benefit to most if not all our packaging for our environmentally responsible customers."
