Board Changes
Starvest Plc (LON:SVE), the London Stock Exchange AIM-listed specialist mining and resources investment company, announces changes to the board, effective from 1st September 2022.
Highlights:
• Callum Baxter appointed as Non-Executive Chairman
• Mark Badros appointed as CEO
Callum Baxter, who has served as both Chairman and CEO of Starvest since September 2015, will step down as CEO but remain as Non-Executive Chairman. Mark Badros, who has served as a Non-Executive Director since December 2018, is appointed CEO.
Mark Badros graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University and received his law degree cum laude from Harvard Law School. He began his career practicing securities, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate law in New York. Mark has more than 15 years of investment experience in public and private equities and has worked as an analyst and investment manager at mutual funds and hedge funds, including Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, Zweig-DiMenna Associates, Highland Capital and Ironbound Capital.
The Board changes take effect from 1st September 2022.
The changes to the Board reflect the Company's focus on strengthening corporate governance practices and aligning more closely with the QCA corporate governance guidelines. Over the coming months, the Company expects to evaluate the possibility of adding one or more independent Non-Executive Directors to enhance the depth and breadth of the Board's expertise.
