Standard Chartered announces inclusion of 2888-HK shares

 in the south bound Stock Connect programme

Standard Chartered PLC ("the Group") is today announcing the inclusion of its 2888-HK shares in both the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Connect schemes.

This is following the inclusion of the 2888-HK shares in both the Hang Seng Composite Index and the Hang Seng Large-Mid Cap (Investible) Index, with the classification as a Large Cap constituent of the index.

The south bound Stock Connect programmes have opened up Hong Kong markets to Mainland Chinese investors, providing new diversification opportunities for that sizeable investor base.

Standard Chartered Asia Chief Executive Officer, Ben Hung said "We are delighted to be included in the Stock Connect scheme and contribute to Hong Kong's role as the super-connector between Mainland China and overseas investors.
