NEW APPOINTMENT
SciSys plc (stock code: SSY), the specialist supplier of IT services, is pleased to announce the appointment of a new head to its Space Division.
The Board is pleased to announce that it has appointed Dr. Horst Wulf of VCS to assume the position of Director of Operations for the Space Division, following John Haynes' planned retirement later this year. Dr. Wulf has worked at VCS in the capacity as the head of its Spacecom business since 1991 and has in-depth experience of this market sector. It is anticipated that Dr. Wulf will take over from John Haynes on 1 September 2008 but John Haynes will continue to support Horst as part of the transition until the end of 2008.
Commenting on the appointment Mike Love, Chairman of SciSys plc, said:

The potential benefits from integrating the VCS Spacecom business with the SciSys space activities were a key strategic consideration in our purchase of VCS AG last year. Horst has been leading the integration of the Spacecom business with the SciSys space business and will now have the responsibility of managing the enlarged SciSys Space business. His background knowledge and experience to date make him the ideal candidate for this role."
