ANNOVA Systems GmbH wins circa €2.5m German Newsroom Contract

SCISYS PLC ("SCISYS"), the supplier of bespoke software systems, IT-based solutions and support services to the Media & Broadcast, Space, Government, Defence and Commercial sectors, is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, ANNOVA Systems GmbH ("ANNOVA"), has signed a contract for circa €2.5m with a major public German broadcaster. This project involves a complete renewal of its existing editorial newsroom systems.

Following a thorough evaluation process, this customer has decided on ANNOVA's proprietary OpenMedia product as its next-generation editorial newsroom solution, replacing  a competitor's incumbent installation. Once fully rolled out, up to 1,000 of the broadcaster's journalists across TV, radio and online will use OpenMedia as their central tool for planning and crafting news programmes.

Commencing in September 2017, this initial contract is expected to be delivered by the end of 2018 and further underpins our current market guidance.
