Contract Win

SCISYS PLC, the supplier of bespoke software systems, IT-based solutions, web and mobile application development and support services to the Defence, Media & Broadcast, Space, Government and Commercial sectors, is pleased to announce it has been awarded a contract by the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) to deliver further research and software development services to the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl). The contract, awarded through the MOD's Framework Agreement for Technical Support Design & Engineering framework, comprises an initial one year phase of work valued at £1.2 million, with the potential for this to grow to £3 million as subsequent phases are commenced during the next two years.

The project will create and demonstrate a new decision support system for use by the Royal Navy. The new system will exploit emerging technologies and improved human factors designs to enable better tactical decision-making against increasingly complex air threats.
