Contract Win

SCISYS PLC, the supplier of bespoke software systems, IT-based solutions, web and mobile application development and support services to the Media & Broadcast, Space, Government, Defence and Commercial sectors, is pleased to announce it has been appointed as the supplier for Second Large Scale Framework Agreement for the BBC's Audio Edit and Playout Systems across radio divisions using our dira! product, rolled out initially under the First Large Scale Audio Editing and Playout System programme (2009-2014). The contract has a value of up to £6 million over the next 3-4 years.

The desired outcome of the Second Large Scale Framework is an integrated audio production system across BBC national, regional and local radio networks. The scope of the agreement is to roll out replacement and/or upgrade systems and provide business continuity/disaster-recovery facilities on the same dira! technology at the BBC in London (BBC Parliament studios at Millbank), Local Radio Networks in England and Wales (including the redeployment of BBC Cardiff) and delivering the Radio Digital Archive.
