Update on Initial Issue proceeds
The Board of Smithson Investment Trust plc ("Smithson" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that in excess of 95 per cent. of the Issue Proceeds raised upon Admission have now been invested in line with the Company's expectations.
Except where the context requires otherwise, defined terms herein shall have the meanings given to them in the Prospectus published by the Company on 17 September 2018, as supplemented by the supplementary prospectus published on 9 October 2018.

Smithson Investment Trust plc ("Smithson" or the "Company") is a newly established investment trust which is externally managed by Fundsmith LLP. The Company raised gross proceeds of £822.5 million upon its admission to the premium segment of the Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's Main Market for listed securities on 19 October 2018.
Smithson's investments will be focused on a global basis on small and medium sized companies between £500 million and £15 billion in market capitalisation, and an average of £7 billion.
