Board appointments

SigmaRoc, the AIM quoted buy-and-build construction materials group, is pleased to update the market with the following changes to its board of directors, all with immediate effect:

Board appointment of Jacques Emsens

Further to the Company's announcement of 11 September 2019, the Company is pleased to announce that renowned industrialist Jacques Emsens has now joined SigmaRoc's board as an Independent Non-Executive Director. Mr Emsens was instrumental in building SCR-Sibelco N.V. ('Sibelco') into a world leading materials solutions company. Founded by the Emsens family, Sibelco achieved revenue of €3.5bn in 2018, with operations in 30 countries and employing more than 10,000 people. Mr Emsens' expertise in the sand and minerals sector will be extremely valuable to SigmaRoc.

Further information on Jacques Emsens, as required by Schedule 2(g) of the AIM Rules for Companies, is set out at the end of this announcement.

Board appointment of Simon Chisholm

The Company is also pleased to announce Simon Chisholm has joined SigmaRoc's board as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee. Mr Chisholm qualified as a Chartered Accountant and has over 20 years of experience working in the investment arena. He is currently founder and managing director of Feros Advisers Limited and has previously worked as a fund manager investing in European equities at Singer & Friedlander, Henderson Global Investors and other large institutions.

Board appointment of Dean Masefield

The Company is further pleased to announce that Dean Masefield has joined SigmaRoc's board as an Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer. Mr Masefield joined SigmaRoc in 2017 taking on the roles of Financial Director for the Ronez Platform and then Deputy CFO to the Group in 2019. Prior to joining SigmaRoc, Mr Masefield served as Head of Finance of BNP Paribas Channel Islands and Isle of Man and later Equiom Channel Islands, overseeing all accounting, reporting, regulatory and systems aspects for tens of billions of USD in assets under management. Mr Masefield is a chartered accountant having qualified with BDO in 1997 and is presently an FCA with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.

Concurrent with the appointment of Mr Masefield as Chief Financial Officer, Garth Palmer has assumed the role of a Non-Executive Director.
