ClaroΒ GuatemalaΒ launches Text-to-Landline serviceΒ with TeleMessage
Messaging International Plc, theΒ AIMΒ traded provider of innovative messaging services,Β has, through its 100% owned subsidiary, TeleMessage Ltd,Β signed an agreement with Claro Guatemala ('Claro') toΒ launch its Text-to Landline service. Claro,Β a subsidiary ofΒ America Movil Group,Β isΒ the largest mobile carrier inΒ GuatemalaΒ withΒ overΒ 4Β millionΒ users. This agreement to launchΒ Text-to-LandlineΒ will allowΒ ClaroΒ subscribersΒ toΒ send a text message fromΒ aΒ wireless phone to anyΒ landline phoneΒ inΒ Guatemala.Β
The Text-to-Landline softwareΒ enablesΒ ClaroΒ wireless customers to create and send a text message toΒ anyΒ landline phone inΒ Guatemala, andΒ convertsΒ itΒ to aΒ voice message for the recipient. The recipient can then respondΒ byΒ voice to the wireless customer, who will receive the reply message in the form ofΒ a text. The wireless customer will also receive a status textΒ messageΒ confirmingΒ if the messageΒ was deliveredΒ directly to aΒ person orΒ toΒ a voicemail system.Β
