Arrangements for Annual General Meeting

London, 15 June 2021 - Serica Energy plc (AIM: SQZ), announces the following changes to the arrangements for the Company's Annual General Meeting (the "AGM").

The Government has announced that COVID-19 related restrictions are not being lifted and as a result the Company's AGM will not be held in the form that had been intended. The Company has arranged for the AGM to be held in a quorate manner in line with current restrictions. As a result shareholders are advised not to attend, and should shareholders do so it is likely that they will not be permitted entry.

Shareholders are strongly encouraged to submit their proxy vote, appointing the Chairman of the meeting as their proxy in advance of the meeting to ensure that their votes are registered.

The Company will continue to monitor the situation and issue updates as necessary. Management intends, as usual, to give an update on the Company's performance. As shareholders are unable to attend the AGM this year, the update will be by way of a pre-recorded corporate presentation uploaded to the Company's website following conclusion of the AGM, together with a Q&A section that will answer questions pre-submitted by shareholders. The AGM is to be held at the offices of Peel Hunt LLP, 100 Liverpool Street, London, EC2M at 13:00 on Thursday, 24 June 2021.

"I am very disappointed that we are unable to hold our AGM as a physical meeting in the way we had hoped and planned. However, the current guidelines mean that we have to find an alternative and I am sure that our revised arrangements will allow us to fully update our shareholders on the performance and prospects for the Company.
