Added to the number ofparticipants at another of its congresses in Dusseldorf, the London attendancefigure means that SQS Software Quality Systems has hosted more than 1,200conference delegates this year (up from 1,080 in 2004). This confirms theappetite within the market for quality assurance, as IT and business become morealigned. In his key note speech Paul Herzlich, an analyst at IT consultancy Ovumsummarised that testing will increase in importance as part of the push to alignIT to the business: "We need to stand firm on the point that you cannotoutsource testing to the same commercial organisation that does thedevelopment". As well as five keynote speeches and twenty conference papers, the programmeincluded 16 whole-day workshops and nine interactive workshops. Delegates camefrom 14 countries across the world, across all industries and size of company.The conference exhibition provided a showcase for 30 service providers and toolvendors.
