TRADING UPDATE

Sopheon plc, the internationalprovider of software and services that improve the financial return from innovation and product development investments, issues the following trading update for the six months to 30 June 2010.

In our Annual General Meeting announcement issued on 15 June we noted that several prospect opportunities had the potential to close by the end of the quarter, which if concluded, would enable us to exceed the first half revenue performance of 2009. We are pleased to report that our actual performance during the closing weeks of June means that both revenue and EBITDA for the first half of 2010 are expected to show material improvement compared to the corresponding period last year, with a significant improvement in full year revenue visibility.

Details will be provided in our interim financial report, scheduled for release on 26 August 2010. Expectations noted above are subject to completion of the period-end financial close and auditor review processes.
